Visit OKC's Guide to 4th of July in OKC includes a list of fireworks displays, festivals, parades and other family-friendly celebrations taking place across the Oklahoma City metro and beyond.

Local Events

June 30

FREE Purcell Independence Day Celebration at Purcell Lake (1400 Chandler Rd) features food trucks, games, a car show, live music and fireworks. Fireworks begin at 9:45pm.

July 1

FREE Stars & Stripes Block Party (800 Riversport) features patriotic music, an outdoor movie and, at the end of the day, fireworks over the McClendon Whitewater Center. Participating prices very. 11 a.m.-10 p.m.; fireworks, 9 p.m.

FREE Bethany Freedom Fest at Eldon Lyon Park (36th & College) features a parade, a street festival and a fireworks display. Parade starts at 10am, with a street festival from 10am-3pm, followed by activities at Eldon Lyon Park at 7pm, and fireworks at 9:55pm.

July 3

FREE OKC Philharmonic’s Red, White and Boom at Scissortail Park (415 S Robinson Ave) features a patriotic concert that celebrates America’s independence, followed by a spectacular fireworks display illuminating the Oklahoma City skyline. Admission is free, and guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair, blanket and whatever they need to enjoy the performance. 8:30 p.m.

FREE Yukon Freedom Fest at Chisholm Park (500 W Vandament) Features live music, kids' activities, contests, food trucks, fireworks and more. The annual celebration is held at Chisholm Trail Park, 500 W. Vandament and City Park, 2200 S. Holly Ave. Freedom Fest starts July 3, from 5-10 p.m., and concludes July 4, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.

FREE Norman Independence Day Celebration at Reaves Park (2501 Jenkins Ave, Norman) features inflatables, food vendors, live music, fireworks and more. Activities start at 5 p.m.; fireworks, 9:45 p.m.

July 3 & 4

FREE Freedom Fest at Chisholm Trail Park (500 W Vandament, Yukon) & Yukon City Park (2200 S Holly, Yukon) is a two-day festival honoring veterans while celebrating with the community featuring live music, kids’ activities, contests, food trucks, fireworks and more. Daytime activities are at City Park, and evening activities are at Chisholm Trail Park. July 3, 5-10 p.m.; July 4, 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. Fireworks shows start at 10 p.m. on both days.

July 4  

FREE Norman’s 4th Fest Party in the Park at Reaves Park (2501 Jenkins Ave, Norman) includes fun activities like yard games, a cornhole tournament, food vendors and live music all leading up to a fireworks show starting around 9:45 p.m.

FREE Celebration in the Heartland 4th of July Festival at Buck Thomas Park (1903 NE 12, Moore) features live entertainment, vendors, food, inflatables, children’s activities and car show. Activities start at 2 p.m. and culminate with an impressive fireworks show at 9:45 p.m.

FREE Tribute to Liberty at Joe B. Barnes Regional Park (8700 E Reno Ave, Midwest City) features live music, food trucks, fireworks and more. Activities start at 7 p.m.; fireworks, 9:45 p.m.

FREE LibertyFest in Edmond (various locations) features a multi-day community celebration with a patriotic concert, car show, parade and more. The highlight of the celebration is the fireworks display at Hafer Park on Tuesday, July 4 at 9:30 p.m.

FREE Tulsa’s Folds of Honor Freedom Fest at River West Festival Park (2100 S Jackson Ave) features live music, inflatables, a bicycle parade, family picnics and fireworks along the Arkansas River. Activities begin at 5 p.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m.

FREE Stillwater’s Boomer Blast at Boomer Lake Park (Washington St + Lakeview Rd) features area vendors, food trucks, and a fireworks show set to music. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

FREE Choctaw Independence Day at Choctaw Creek Park (2001 N Harper Rd) features games, inflatable water slides, food vendors, live music and fireworks. A fireworks display will begin at approximately 9:45 p.m.

FREE Moore’s Celebration in the Heartland at Buck Thomas Park (1903 NE 12) features family-friendly activities, food, music, vendors, local shopping, fireworks and more.
