Many of us are using this alone time to tap into our creative side. We are featuring a Q+A of a local artist every week, both to show our support for artists and to inspire each other’s creative side.

Q & A
1) Tell me something interesting about yourself?
I have been painting for 17 years now and recently have become very allergic to my paint medium where I can only paint for 1.5 hours per day under an exhaust fan making each painting a precious work of art!
2) Where do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration in day dreaming, dreams, dark hard times, and the light miracle times that I encounter in life.
3) What is the best piece of art advice you ever received?
Paint what you want until you become famous because once that happens then you are bound to paint what you are famous for. This has become true for me. People want my women with flower paintings!
4) What are your thoughts about Colorado’s creative scene for artists?
Denver is the most wonderful creative art scene! I thank, Ivar Ziele, Darrell Anderson, Heidi Huisjen, Ann Benson Reidy, Debbrah Courtney, Nancy Alterman and Jeanne Nichols for all of their inspiration and encouragement and making a huge impact on the art scene!
5) What are some recent projects you are working on or have accomplished?
Currently working on a large painting for the Frida Kahlo show at the Denver Art Museum and I am the featured Spring 2020 Artist on Display at the IDC Building. Recently, I completed a mural at the Children’s Hospital, instructing patients in the psych wing.
