Join us in RiNo for the opening of “Blooming,” featuring Harry Foreman
Blooming
2632 Blake Street, Denver
9.22.2023, 6-9pm
Meet Harry
“Blooms come and go. They are a culmination of adaptation, nourishment aligned, & life’s timeless dance of resilience. Having grown up within Florida’s evergreen environment, I’ve found a new appreciation in Colorado’s changing seasons. These blooms allow us to see, feel, and smell the beauty in transition. This display of color is a result of nature’s tireless experiment, year after year. A true testament to the art of trial and error & finding beauty in the everchanging canvas of existence. “

What are your thoughts about our city’s creative scene for artists, designers, crafters, makers, and small businesses?
Denver’s creative scene is HUGE. There’s so much talent in this city & I can feel Denver’s creative pulse now more than ever since moving here during COVID 2020. The community is back in bloom & it’s exciting to see everyone coming together again.
What was the best day that you have had at work in the past 3 months?
My “best day of work” is hard to encapsulate due to the nature of being a solo freelancer. One day that’s coming to mind was my last First Friday at Improper City in RiNo where we threw a party consisting of live screen-printing, live flash tattoos & live music. It was a special night where the community showed up & it was nice to be in a action packed environment.
Currently, where do you look for inspiration?
I find inspiration in nature, Denver’s community + architecture, & the delicacy of flowers.
How has your style changed over time?
Going from fine artist youth, to graphic design college grad, & now entering back into the fine art world, my style has always been subject to change. I’m not a one-trick pony & enjoy discovering new creative methods for myself and others. The colorful, pop-art style that I’ve been championing for some of my personal work has been lovely to work in & translates nicely to large-scale mural work.
What are you working on now?
I’m working on alot of merchandising for 4+ Denver breweries + watering holes which has been alot of fun to work on & gain insight on how I can create designs that appeal to the Denver crowd.
Do you have a network of artists and how do you support one another?
I’m still a small fish in Denver’s expansive creative scene. I’m curating a group showing on Oct. 13th which will be my first time curating an event that has other Denver creatives. I’m excited to invigorate & collaborate with Denver’s creative talent.
