Courtney Lynn Williams is a Colorado native with a strong family connection to Wyoming.

She constructs large scale weavings onto wooden frames which serve as both loom and frame, suspending each piece in negative space. Courtney is largely inspired by the landscapes and wildlife of the West, and the balance of Yin and Yang. Her work explores harmony in contrast.

What are you working on right now?

Lately I have been focusing on large scale weavings. I am very inspired by interior design, and I love creating large, inviting artwork to bring the balance of nature into the home.

What is the best piece of advice you ever received?

My current mantra: "Perfectionism grows in fear, perfection grows in joy"

What do you like to do outside of work?

My biggest hobby outside of work is music! I went to school for opera but I love to sing in any genre. If I am not at work or making art, I am probably singing.

What is your favorite part of your job?

My day job is actually that I own a business flipping houses. My favorite part is the transformation- taking something neglected and creating something clean and beautiful.
