There is so much to do this coming month at the gardens!
Events
Friday, September 9, 6-9pm
Come one, come all to Busker Street Fair at Myriad Botanical Gardens. Join us for a Friday evening stroll through the gardens while enjoying local beer and sweet treats. The evening will be buzzing with the sights and sounds of street performers and musicians galore. Stilt walkers will tower overhead and magicians will dazzle you with sleight of hand. Have your tarot cards read, get a classic caricature drawn, and more! Be sure to bring small change and bills to tip your favorite street performers.
Busking has a long history that dates back to the Medieval ages. Back then, local merchants would invite buskers to their storefronts, plazas and public squares to attract new business. The American tradition has its roots in the many circuses that used to travel from coast to coast.
