November is a time known as a time of giving.
A time to be thankful for what we have. A time filled with gratitude. So, when newcomers to West + Main, Alicia Duncan Coulter and Melissa Birmingham, both found themselves hosting coat drives to support local non-profits, they decided to pool their efforts so they could help even more people this winter and holiday season. COVID-19 precautions have also created a need to host this donation drive uniquely, so these caring women are willing to schedule appointments to pick up your clean, new or gently used donations right at your doorstep.
Here is a little more information about the organizations they are supporting:
Ruthy’s Closet:
Located in the close-knit community of Sheridan, Colorado, Ruthy's Closet serves all ages. This connection to serving the needs of the community members has become a passion project for S.O.A.R. Academy Principal, Todd Legge. The donation closet continues to be of assistance even during the times the school is operating in a remote capacity. They do not resell any items, and everything given is shared to those in need locally.

Project 21 Foundation
Located in Lakewood, CO, Project 21 Foundation is the nonprofit support that oversees dance, fitness, mentorship, bullying prevention and community service projects, as well as scholarships, operating and uniform costs. Project 21 is based in the Compassion Over Reaction principles of character development. Programs include CO Starz Dance Team, Elementary Bullying Prevention, Dare to Donate December and more. The donation’s collect will directly benefit the Rose Andom Center, Safehouse Denver, and The Blue Bench.
