West + Main Homes participated in its first collaborative project with Giveback Homes on Friday, November 15th in support of Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver. Over twenty agents volunteered in a Build Day by contributing framing, carpentry, and painting services to help finish construction on several affordable housing units in the College View neighborhood.
Volunteers showed up bright and early for coffee and snacks with coworkers. Following a brief safety orientation, teams split off to begin working on two units that will become permanent housing for Denver residents that qualified for Habitat’s affordable homeownership program.
Following a well-deserved lunch break, volunteers continued progress setting roof trusses and installing a stairwell in one home while painting and sealing the exterior of another.
West + Main Homes extends a special thank you to Giveback Homes founder Caroline Pinal for organizing the event, motivating volunteers the entire day, and creating opportunities for our agents to create social change in our backyard and throughout the world. The partnership will extend into 2020 with more fundraising campaigns, local build days, and international trips.
